  • 1 package (13.5 ounces) JOHNSONVILLE Smoked or Andouille Rope Sausage, quartered and sliced.
  • 1 package (16 ounces) uncooked whole grain elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 package (16 ounces) processed American cheese, cubed

Cooking Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
  2. In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, parsley, and olive oil.
  3. Meanwhile, in another saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Stir in flour into butter until smooth; gradually whisk in milk.
  5. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  6. Add cheese; cook and stir until melted.
  7. Fold in macaroni and sausage.
  8. Transfer to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread panko mixture on top.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
